Put a new spin on “Casual Fridays” by asking employees to wear their favorite hats the Friday of National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week. If you want, give the day a theme, such as Las Vegas, and ask everyone to wear a hat associated with it. At the end of the day, put staff members names into a hat and give those whose names are pulled an item from the 5-Piece Raffle Prize Pack. Then have everyone who wore a hat feel like a winner by providing each with a “Lab Professionals Are Smarties” Treat Pack.

Use National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week as a time to have a little fun with your staff. Come up with five random categories such as “Person Most Likely To Become A Hermit” or “Individual Most Likely To Marry A Millionaire”–one for each day of the special week. Print the categories on a worksheet in advance. Then ask staff members to write down the top three employees for each category. When employees have made their selections, tally up the results and create a certificate for each category’s top winner.
